About Me & My Family
Hi! My name is Missy Miller, married to Clark Miller and we have five children, 4 boys and 1 girl! We live in Texas on a 12 acre "hobby" farm which we all thoroughly enjoy! Our family is very active, we love sports, we love competition and we love supporting each other and we certainly love to laugh any chance we get!
I want to share with you a little about my story…maybe some day I’ll get to hear your story! I finished my dietetics schooling him 2004, became a Registered Dietitian and quickly went to work for a food broker company where my role was to sell food to schools and hospitals. After being there for about 6 months, I found that I was pregnant with our first boy.
When he was born, I knew it was going to be incredibly hard to leave him, but I just thought that’s what moms were supposed to do in our day and age. Starting at just 9 weeks old, Clark and I would wake up early to get our new baby to daycare. I'd miss events that he was too young to even know were happening but momma knew! Like an Easter parade where they strolled the babies around in their cribs complete with handmade Easter hats. I showed up that day to pick him up and I found out what I’d missed. I sat in my car in CRIED my eyes out. After being back at work for about 10 months, I ended up having to leave a food show because of an anxiety attack…my chest felt like it was going to explode and I had never dealt with that feeling before and actually didn’t even know what it was called! Thankfully, now I know so much more about holistic health and how a more integrative approach to my health really was the start to where our family is now!
I knew something needed to change with my job so I decided I would go in to real estate. I finished the schooling for my real estate license very quickly and aligned myself with a residential broker. I was gone way too many nights and weekends. It wasn't working either. Then, I went in to commercial real estate after being asked to join a friend in his business, where my work hours were more traditional. Not long after being there, I was pregnant with my second boy. I continued to work for 2 months after he was born to find out that I was pregnant with our third boy and he was born 11 months and 3 weeks after my 2nd! Finally, I understood, the Lord had been preparing my way and I was supposed to bring everyone home. My role was to be full time mommy and we just made that financial jump and knew the Lord would provide. Our 4th baby was born 18 months later and for the next 3 years I spent all my time feeding, changing diapers and all those things a mother does who is "in the thick of it" and pretty much in survival mode!
However, being an athlete...loving the areas of nutrition, health and fitness never left my core...it was as if I was always assisting others along their health journey with food, fitness or their total wellness in general. In July of 2013, my friend Kristen Petri hosted her first holistic health class. I fully jumped in that day and began researching ALL things natural health, using food based supplements, essential oils, ridding our homes and bodies of as many harsh toxins as possible! Previously, I had been introduced to this lifestyle when our daughter had seizures at 5 months old...this was when I became more awake to chemicals, toxins, traditional healthcare, & environmental factors affecting health but this time, I had just been through a rough time with my back and was nearing surgery. This was truly the best decision I made in our family's health and I am still learning with a community of like-minded people by my side!

Today, almost 12 years later, things look a bit different, but still so full-my nutrition and holistic health business is still thriving, people will always be in need of well-care, I continue to homeschool my youngest, part-time via a hybrid model school, I serve on several academic & sports boards as well as serving within our church. Clark still coaches our children many nights of the week, as well as continuing to hold the role of the president of the Anna Sports Group for the last 12 years, he is now managing many commercial construction projects all over the country, leading a team of over 60 individuals in his construction business, while also being my partner in our Nutrition and Fitness business, Miller BUILT & Co.(his first passion was athletics, sports and fitness training where all of his schooling and much experience has been-it also lead him in to construction but that is another story for another day!) He is in his third term of holding a seat on our local school board, along with serving on several other boards and committees within the city, schools and our church. We still spend much of our time running to and fro with all our children active in sports & academic activities while moving into their later years in school, and on to college soon...can't believe it!
Because of where we have come, I know that anyone can achieve what they truly set out to achieve...and still maintain a thriving home! My hope is always to encourage others who may be looking for freedom...be it with food, fitness, finances. faith or family!
To Your Joy in the Journey,
